This Blog shall work as an additional tool for our research project on the commemoration of the Schuman Declaration and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights as peace building — establishing joint political institution insuring economic cooperation and resources distribution, guaranteeing basic freedoms, participation and security and countering the extremism. Concepts like world peace, solidarity in production, equality and well-being will be re-examined and debated through capillary outreach by interviews, an interactive site and archive; artistic and academic research; historical and artistic travelling exhibition; two conferences and publications.
Drawing on the already existing grassroots networks of each partner, the project aims to establish a conceptual, virtual and physical space for pan-European social debate. These local networks include a wide variety of individuals and organizations: academics, experts, artists, activists, NGO practitioners, trade unions, as well as social groups such as migrants, ex-prisoners, war veterans, precarious workers and more, so the debate generated in the project and creating a vision for the future would be highly inclusive cutting across the well known fractures of society like gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, civil status, and socio-economic situation and including newly manufactures fractures such as the ones between production and climate/environmental protection.
